Uniform ~ We Are What We Wear
Thought and care was put into the design of our school uniform. Our uniform closely reflects Sancta Maria in its appearance, shape, colour, quality and style. Our uniform is elegant, timeless, and classic.
The key is simplicity and humility coupled with practicality and hard wearing characteristics for care. The blue colours were carefully selected to represent the colours of Mary's robes whilst also taking into account practicality for our parents. The shades of blue are replicated from the crest. The white piping against the blue is to represent the purity, simplicity and elegance of Mary.
The girls wear culottes, as dignity is important for our children as they play. Our boys wear a striped shirt, tucked in, with formal features, such as the buttons on each sleeve as we believe when children look smart they think smart, when they think smart they behave smart and when they behave smart they work smart.
The cut of each item, including the knit wear has the spirit of Mary in the design specifications. You will notice the unique and striking appearance our uniform portrays. It is important for us that our children are recognisable as being part of the Sancta Maria Catholic Primary School family and our values shine through as our children wear their uniform with pride.
Our beautiful crest is carefully embroidered onto the uniform and is present over the heart of each child who wears it, as it unites them in love with all our school stands for and each other as our community is a family.
Such care, thought and passion has been put into the design of our uniform and consequently it is a requirement that the way in which our children wear it is done so with grace, thoughtfulness and pride for all it stands for.
