Welcome to another wonderful term at Sancta Maria Catholic Primary School! We are a community where faith, learning, and friendship come together, helping our students grow with confidence, kindness, and a heart for others.

We want to inform you that Sancta Maria Catholic Primary School will be closed for instruction on Tuesday, 11 February 2025, due to a Teacher Only Day. This day is part of the Ministry of Education’s nationwide professional development initiative to support schools in implementing the new Maths and English curriculum.

Our teachers will be working with a specialist facilitator to ensure they are well-prepared to deliver these updated curricula, ultimately benefiting student learning.

We are so very sorry for the inconvenience this may cause families, especially so early in the school year. Our teachers are incredibly appreciative of the grace and support you have shown in allowing them to take part in this important professional development.

We encourage families to plan ahead for childcare. If you require care on this day, SKiDS will be available. Please contact Becca de la Vega at becca@skids.co.nz or call 0800 754 377 to enrol your child.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to provide the best possible learning experiences for our students 

 The Uniform Shop, located next to the school in the SKIDS Cottage, will be open this Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Uniforms can also be ordered online at www.prestidges.co.nz using our school code SMP192. The physical store is at 65 New North Road, Eden Terrace, phone 09 358 1680.
